Since 1962, and President John F. Kennedy’s inspirational speech, Americans have had only one goal! To land a man on the moon before the end of the decade.
Though the years have passed by quickly, NASA has continued to make steady progress. First with the Mercury program to launch an American into orbit.
Then with Gemini. A set of missions designed to create skills and procedures needed to travel safely in space.
Now it is time for a man to slip the bonds of our home and cross the void to a different world. It’s time for Apollo to make that journey from the Earth to the Moon.
As the astronauts strap themselves into their seats and prepare for blast off, we reach for our Space Adventure comic book. Eager to follow along and witness every exciting moment!

Man has set foot on the moon and we all went along for the ride!
