Let’s Go to the Airport!

It’s the late 1950s and the sky’s the limit! People travel from coast to coast in hours instead of days, all thanks to a set of modern miracles, the airplane and the airport.

To the passenger it seems easy. You just step aboard your airliner, settle back in a comfortable seat, then relax as you are lifted into the atmosphere and wing your way to your destination.

But it’s not that simple.

It takes dozens of people, each performing specific tasks, to prepare an airliner for flight. From check-in to air traffic control, to weather forecasting.
